Synopsis
Our story begins at the home of Clara Stalbaum. She and her family are preparing for their annual Christmas Eve party. Clara is anxious to see all of her cousins, but is most excited for a visit from her Godfather, Dr. Drosselmeyer, who brings mystery and magic to every event. As Clara and her parents finish their preparations the guests begin to arrive. Everyone is so happy to see each other and they’re especially excited to see Uncle Friedrich and his children, who have been living in England for the past two years. The party progresses with an abundance of confections, wine, gifts and dancing while Clara anticipates the arrival of her wonderful Godfather. The good doctor did not disappoint with his mystical gifts. But the gift he brought for Clara would turn out to be the most memorable gift of her life. A magical Nutcracker.
As the party comes to a close, Clara falls asleep with her beloved Nutcracker. Then, at the stroke of midnight Dr. Drosselmeyer returns to escort Clara on a most wonderous Christmas journey. Clara, now the size of a mouse, meets her Nutcracker face to face. With his noble army, The Nutcracker defends Clara against the evil Rat King, his malicious rat patrol and his minions of mice. In a fiery battle, Clara defeats the Rat King after he has slain her beloved Nutcracker. Consumed in grief, Clara begs her Godfather to heal him. Dr. Drosselmeyer again works his magic and Clara is reunited with her Nutcracker Prince.
The three of them begin their journey thru the snow filled evening making their way to the Nutcracker’s kingdom, where he and the Dew Drop Fairy reign. Arriving at the Royal Garden The Nutcracker tells the Dew Drop Fairy how Clara defeated the Evil Rat King presenting the Rat’s sword to her. In gratitude, she calls on her subjects to celebrate. Festivities commence in Clara’s honor through music and dance with fruits and flora, from all over the world. As the celebration comes to a close Dr. Drosselmeyer escorts Clara back home where she wakes from her dream, but was it a dream?.....Or was it MAGIC!

Graduating Senior &
PDT Conservatory Student
Alyssa will be graduating from Memorial High School. Alyssa has has been dancing for 8 years and has been with PDT Dance Arts since 2019. Alyssa plays the Nutcracker and the Arabian Desert Princess this season. SIn addition to many high score over-all awards, she received Dancer of the Year at Celebration Talent Competition and she was asked to assist at the Elevation on Tour Conventions this season. he has been accepted to the SMU dance program and and plans to double major in Dance and Kinesiology/Pre-Physical Therapy.
Grace has been dancing for 15 years and has been with PDT for the last 5 years. During this time, Grace has been part of PDT's Competitive Ensemble and Hip-Hop Crew and has performed in all of PDT's holiday shows and recitals. Grace attended intensives hosted by Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Flockworks, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Zion Dance Project, and The Houston Contemporary Dance Company. She has also apprenticed for Platinum Dance Experience and Collective and for 6 O'clock Dance Theatre. In June, Grace will graduate with honors from iUniversity Prep and will go on to pursue a BFA in Dance.

PDT Conservatory Student
Trinity May (Dr. Drosselmeyer) is a senior at iUniversity Prep and attends the Dance Arts Conservatory. Trinity has been dancing for seven years and is a five-year PDT Dance Arts Competitive Dance Ensemble member and a former member of Rhythmic Souls PERFORM Company. She is alumni of the Commercial Dance Intensive. Trinity has performed in the Nutcracker: Untapped, Joie de Vivre, Rhythm Revival, Dream Again, Body Language, and The Nutcracker throughout her years in high school. She is excited to perform in her last Nutcracker. Future plans will include earning a BFA in Dance in college. Thank you to all my teachers and family for their continuous support through my dance journey.
Hannah Grave
Graduating Senior
Allen High School
Hannah is a Senior at Allen High School. Hanna has been dancing for 14 years, competitively for 9 years. She has been with PDT Dance Arts since 2018 as an Ensemble & HipHop Crew member. Hannah is playing the "Dew Drop Fairy" in The Nutcracker this season. Hanna has won countless awards for performance and recently has been accepted to the Sam Houston college program. She is awaiting acceptance and hopes to attend to Texas A&M this fall.
Madison Yeck
Graduating Senior Texas Connections High School
Madison has been dancing since she was 3 years old. At 6 years old she came to PDT Dance Arts and began competing as an Ensemble & HipHop Crew member. Madison plays the role of Rose in the Waltz of the flowers in the Nutcracker this season. In addition to her many high score over-all awards, this past summer she trained with the University of Oklahoma School of Dance with their summer intensive. She has been accepted to Sam Houston and is awaiting reply from a few other colleges. After graduation she plans to double major in Dance and Kinesiology.
