Daytime Academic & Performing Arts Studies for 8th-12th Grade Students
The Dance Arts Conservatory recommends - and works closely with - iUniversity Prep, a virtual magnet school and part of Grapevine-Colleyville ISD.
At the PDT Dance Arts Conservatory, our on site Academic Director guides your child as they study through their online learning program and is always available to assist all students with their assignments, keeping them on track and challenging them to push their academic limits. Students participating in a Texas accredited program graduate with a high school diploma and transcript from The Conservatory. The Conservatory offers different options for your child's learning to ensure each individual gets the best education available. The online programs offered are rigorous and not to be taken lightly. Students will be closely monitored and may not participate in performances or additional activities if they fall behind in their academics.These programs require students learn time management, accountability and self-sufficiency while providing an exceptional education to ensure their success throughout high school & beyond.
PERFORMING ARTS CLASSES
Our incredible academic format is coupled with performing arts classes throughout the day taught by award winning instructors. Students are exposed to a variety of performance, dance, and teaching techniques, providing them with a learning experience designed to help students maximize their high school education. Classes vary each semester and subjects range from Ballet and Hip Hop to Business Development and Audition Prep.
Students in the PDT Dance Arts Conservatory program continually receive scholarships, accolades and awards. Students from The Conservatory have been selected to compete at national competitions, attend intensives in Chicago, Orlando, New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, and London. Many present Conservatory students are members of National Honors Society, with 40% of the students holding 4.5 GPA or better. All students are currently members in good standing of the National Honors Society for Dance Arts. Students have also been selected to assist professional dancers/choreographers as apprentices or perform with select traveling performance groups.
