Why does PDT Dance Arts provide a 12 month program?
Dance training is a commitment. Like many extracurricular activities, Dance takes time, patience and excellent instruction to learn. Most of our dancers spend several years honing their skills and building their “tool box” to execute the desired outcome. In today’s world, instant gratification has become the norm. Dance training is not an instant gratification trade. With dance and many other extra curricular activities, non-committed participants may get a mediocre understanding of the trade, but may not develop the work ethic, skills, understanding or sense of accomplishment that comes with truly studying and learning a trade that they can be proud of. Those that follow through with commitment find a deeper sense of accomplishment which leads to a higher sense of self worth and genuine self confidence. By having your dancer sign up for one of our 12 month programs, you are giving your dancer the gift of learning how to follow through with commitment to themselves. At PDT Dance Arts, commitment is a value and life enhancing skill we encourage in our dancers that they can then carry with them throughout their lives.
What do I do if my child does not like his/her dance class after a few months?

We understand that after a few months of class, dancers may become complacent with repetition of learning their dance skills. We encourage you to reach out to us and let us know how your dancer is feeling. We may need to level up your dancer, change subjects of study or offer a different instructor for a more challenging experience. If your child is showing complacency or disinterest, please email us at info@pdtdancearts.com and we will have a PDT Dance Arts representative contact you to find a solution for your dancer’s needs.
What do I do about Missed Classes?

Your purchase of our 12 month program includes holiday, recital, and performance breaks. Our studio calendar (www.pdtdancearts.com/studiocalendar) has a list of dates throughout the year we are closed for holidays and studio events. If your dancer misses class due to injury or illness, you will be entitled to make up classes at your convenience. For illnesses you are welcome to use your make up classes at any time in your 12 month program cycle. Your dancer may take any class at the same level as a make up class. Please contact us at info@pdtdancearts.com for a list of classes your dancer is eligible to use for his/her make-up classes.
